Day 1: Columbus, Chicago, and Beijing, China

Well... Here I am at 4:54 AM in the morning on our first full day in Beijing (our sightseeing day)... Gotta love jet-lag...

Our flights went very well yesterday... Both were on time, and both were completely uneventful. Our 14 hour flight was very VERY long, but we kept ourselves occupied by sleeping, watching an assortment of movies and TV shows, and watching our progress on the GPS map as we flew over Canada, the Arctic Ocean, Russia/Siberia, Mongolia, then finally China...

When we finally arrived into China, we went through customs (wow that was easy!!) and went out to find our guides. After a few frustrating minutes of wandering around, we did find our guides (Cissy and Holly) and we were off to our hotel.

Since we only have 1 full day in Beijing, we decided to squeeze in a little sightseeing last night by visiting the Olympic village and the Bird's nest stadium... That was awesome! :) Besides, it felt good to walk around after being cooped up in the plane for so long.

So... Today's agenda includes seeing the Forbidden city and the Great Wall of China... And then heading out tomorrow for our GOTCHA DAY!! :)
